How do I file my assumed business name
Q:
Hi. I am taking over my dad's auto repair business in Plano TX.
I have discovered he did not renew his DBA for the business.
The business bank account has said all I need to do is bring them a current DBA and we can transfer the accounts to my name, since I am on the account.
What do I need to do this? Also, I am currently moving back from KY, which means I have a KY license instead of a TX license right now.
What can I do, and if I get a TX license, (which will be paper copy until I get the real one), will the county accept that? I realize that.
My question is will I be able to file for one using my out of state license, or will they accept the paper copy I will receive until I get the permanent license?

You can use the same business name but you will need all new business licenses under your name or if you will be an llc or corporation under the corp or LLC name.

You can use the same business name but you will need all new business licenses under your name or if you will be an llc or corporation under the corp or LLC name.
The first thing to do is to get an
Auto Repair
business tax registration license.
Next, get an assumed business name registration because you will need it to open a bank account and order business cards.
In addition, you may need a federal tax ID number if you are a partnership or a corporation or LLC.
Then, if you sell any
